I put the maps on a USB. Plugged it into the USB port (tried both), went to System Update and tried to select USB and it says USB not available. Anybody else got a message to upgrade in car to 2016/2017 maps? I don't want to download via mobile due to my data allowance but normally going to myAudi allows me to download it on to SD card. However in myAudi is states my map is up to date and no options to download (or even redownload even though that is supposed to be unlimited times)
I did upgrade about a month or so ago when I visited myAudi as it seemed to suggest an update however this was definitely 16 rather thatn 16/17 as it prompted me in the car.
Anybody got the correct version numbers and a method of getting to the download? I did see one site that suggested a direct link on myAudi by changing the URL but can't find it via Google.

Problems downloading 2016/2017 map update. MyAudi USA portal services has me download the Audi Connect Download Client but when I run it and it prompts for login.

  1. Extract files from the SpeedcamUpdates zip package. If the file you have downloaded is not a ZIP file means the file is already decompressed, and you can continue with the next step of this installation instructions.

  2. Depending on the device version you will have to follow the installation method 1 or method 2. If you're not sure, please try first method 1, then method 2.

  3. Put an empty SD card into the PC card reader.
  4. Unzip the file downloaded from our website into the SD card
  5. Insert the SD card into the card reader of the Audi A6 C7 MMI Navigation plus MMI touch (4G) GPS device.

  8. Select the option for 'system update'
  9. Select the storage medium on which the data is stored.

    Depending on the firmware version that is installed on your device, it could be possible you can not hear alerts with sound when approaching to the speed camera. If your firmware is capable to warn you playing a sound, you can enable this feature in the points of interest setup. You can enable this feature checking that item in the items list of the map. If you can not find it you then will have to look to your reference manual. Can be located in different places depending on the firmware release.

Remember you can customize freely your download. Get access to the customer control panel and using the customization tool in order to get a customized speedcam database according to your needs. You will need this tool if your device doesn't accept the size of the new update. You can add and remove countries speedcam data to your current setup.
