The map disc in my E46 is a few years old now and I would like to get the latest one. I have V32 running so that is up to date and I would like a map disc with the extras (full 7 digit postcode etc.).
I've tried three places now and they have all had various issues from not having 7 digit postcode search (despite advertising as such) to the postcode search sending you to the wrong street. Where is the best place for the latest map disc where the extra functions actually work?

After I moved from the 2005 maps o 2011, my navigation has become MAJOR slow. I know that I now have more countries but it takes about a minute to load when trying to enter a destination. Anyone else have this issue on the Professional Navigation? Also, is there some kind of update that allows for co ordinates? Frazey ford obadiah download.
Latest 2017 maps disc available from BMW for £79 according to an email they sent me a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the reply and that isn't a bad price from BMW. As far as I am aware however they still don't include 7 digit postcode search on their updated map discs.

The 7 digit post code search is a bit convoluted so I didn't use it a lot but it did work when I did.My FFRR has 1 of his discs in at the moment and works perfectly. No the same as your Mk4 though.

I bought a cheap disc from eBay that had the latest maps, cameras and post code - but note the post code is searchable as a POI.

BMW are doing a deal on discs at the moment - £79 I believe for the OEM upgrade looks decent value?
I think they have worked out when it comes to upgrading older systems they are competing with Tom Tom etc.

I paid about 20£ to a guy on M3 Cutters, for a firmware update and Nav disc for my old M3. I've tried three places now and they have all had various issues from not having 7 digit postcode search (despite advertising as such) to the postcode search sending you to the wrong street. It has a full postcode option.
It's not my daily driver, so don't really use it, to give a thorough test, but it certainly works.

The following applies to consumption figures for vehicles with new type approval, September 2017 onward: The figures for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption are obtained in accordance with the specified measuring procedure (EC Regulation No. 715/2007), as issued and amended. The figures are for a basic-version vehicle in Germany. The bandwidths allow for differences in the choice of wheel and tire sizes and items of optional equipment and can be changed by the configuration.
Obtained on the basis of the new 'Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedure' (WLTP), the figures are converted back to the 'New European Driving Cycle' (NEDC) for the sake of comparability. Values other than those stated here may be used for the purposes of taxation and for other vehicle-related duties relating to CO2 emissions.
