the vmware is in none persistent mode , this is basically like deep freeze built in to vmware so the only reason i can see that you would lose the IDS license is that if you did not shut down the vmware after using IDS , even then when you close it down and restart vmware the license should come back .

If you mean the VCM is wanting to pair its self with IDS Each time , this is because of none persistent mode also . you need to take it out of nonepersistance mode, register your VCM, reboot the VM, shut down the VM and put it back to none persistence mode, Then it should be o.k.
